The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is a national voluntary organisation established by two carers in 1982 in response to the need for services and support for people with dementia and their carers.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland believes in the importance of people with dementia remaining in their own communities for as long as possible. However this is only possible when the carer and family have access to dementia specific services and appropriate support.

The Limerick Branch of the Society was founded in 1986. During their 24 years of existence the Branch has been responsible for providing a wide range of care services for people with Alzheimer's disease and their carers in the Limerick and surrounding area.

We would be grateful if you would choose the Alzheimer Society as your Charity to enable us carry on without the generosity of people such as you the Society would find it extremely difficult if not impossible to fund the service which we provide to those who suffer from Alzheimers disease. It is these people and their carers who really benefit from your generosity.
