RELAY MARATHON
Form your own team and complete the Regeneron Great Limerick Run marathon. A relay team can have up to 4 members.
Changeover points will occur at the following points: mile 6, mile 12.5 and mile 20.5.
The 6 mile point is located across from Milford Credit Union on Plassey park road.
The 12.5 mile point is at Johns square.
The 20.5 mile point is outside Dunnes Stores on Henry street.
The final reunion point will be at The Strand Hotel on the Ennis road.
There will be a two bus rotations from Arthur’s Quay that will bring the runner to their starting point at mile 6
Last bus will leave Arthur’s Quay at 9:00am sharp.
Those changing at mile 6 will be transported back into the city while the other changing points are very close to the City centre enabling runners to recover as they walk towards the reunion point outside the Strand hotel on the Ennis road.
This reunion point outside The Strand on the Ennis road will allow all team members to complete the remaining few hundred meters and cross the finish line together, Share the work, Share the achievement.
Each race member of the is required to carry a race baton during their race leg, this baton will be chipped and must be visible to the chip antennas. This chip will take your race time.
Race Leg Lengths
Leg 1: start to 6 mile point = 6 miles
Leg 2: mile 6 to mile 12.5 = 6.5 miles
Leg 3: mile 12.5 to mile 20.5 = 8 miles
Last Leg: mile 20.5 to mile 26 = 5.5 miles
Rules & Prizes
1. Prizes are awarded to the winning team. Winning Team collects €400. Second team collects €200 and third team collects €100.
2. A team can consist of between 2 and 4 team members.
3. Incorrect category assignment must be highlighted prior to September 15th. This is viewable on the website.
4. The Regeneron Great Limerick Run operates a ‘one person, one prize’ policy.
5. Placings will be awarded on gun time not chip time. i.e. whoever crosses the line first wins (not their chip time).
6. Course closes at 3:00pm

Yes. Buses will transport team members into position for leg 2. Buses will depart from the Tourist Office at Arthurs Quay at 8:30am and at 8:45am. Also buses will return team members that finish at leg 2 to the city centre.

Yes. These can be collected at the Expo.
Should the event be postponed due to occurrences outside the control of the event organiser, the event organiser reserves the right to reschedule the event to a future date. Those registered for the event will be accommodated on the rescheduled event date. If the rescheduled event date does not suit the individuals needs the event organiser will offer a deferral to the next year’s event or refund the ticket price up to 3 months preceding the new event date. No refunds will be accommodated 3 months from the rescheduled event date. If any of the above applies to your situation please contact info@greatlimerickrun.com
